In order for me to actually make the scarf, I have to select what colours I want to use in the design. Obviously, I know I want the base fabrics to be black, but I want to incorporate colours from my primary research. So, in order to do this, I have downloaded the app ‘ColorViewFinder’ and uploaded my main primary photos onto it and this app then selects the colours that are in the photos, like above with the sky / leaves photo and the candles photos.
The colours that I want to go forward with as a result of this app are yellow, brown and different hues of mauve from the candles, and grey, green and dark blue from the sky and leaves. I will use the techniques and skills from my previous samples and experiments and mix it with these colours to create the designs for my scarf. The designs that I am going to use are the candle flame, the green leaves, the night sky and the street lamps. I have also decided that I am going to use the circle shape from the top of the candle as the shape that I am going to cut out of the top of the scarf with the laser cutter.
